Our Mission

The Mission of Gammon Theological Seminary, a historically African American institution, in partnership with The Interdenominational Theological Center, is to recruit, support, and educate pastors and leaders for The United Methodist Church.

Our Vision is to educate and equip persons, called by God, to become prophetic leaders for the mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. (Adopted by Board of Trustees March 9, 2009)

Our Students

Gammon students today are following in the proud tradition of alumni.  They are preparing to become the spiritual leaders of the United Methodist Church, as Pastors, Pastoral counselors, Campus Ministers, Chaplains, Wesley Foundations Directors, Theologians, Annual Conference Communicators, Christian Education Directors, Ministers of Music, Church Administrators,  New Church Start Developers, UM Foundation Directors, District Superintendents, College and Seminary Presidents, Seminary Professors, General Agency Personnel and Bishops in the United Methodist Church.

A Prophetic Leader Empowering The Church!

The 15th Inauguration of the New President- Dean and the 128th Founders’ Day Observance for Gammon Theological Seminary, October 18-19th took an especially celebrative turn with the installation of The Reverend Dr. Albert DMosley as the President-Dean of Gammon Theological Seminary.   Rev. Mosley was elected by the Board of Trustees of Gammon Theological Seminary in its regular Fall meeting on Monday afternoon, October 18, 2010.  President-Dean  Mosley assumed his leadership role January 1, 2011.
